PAC

The American Cancer Coalition PAC, an Initiative of the AMCC PAC, is a political organization (not a charity) established under Section 527 of the IRS tax code. Americans need to help elect responsible public officials and educate Members of Congress about issues related to Cancer.

A large portion of the contributions given to our organization are used to help offset the costs associated with fundraising.

Through your much-needed support, we aim to educate the public about critical health legislation focused on cancer and overall health. In the United States, millions live with a history of cancer, highlighting the urgent need for improved resources and advocacy for health.

Advocating for the expedited approval of life-saving cancer treatment drugs through the FDA is crucial for protecting and improving the lives of countless people across the nation. We must push for maintaining and increasing funding for the National Institutes of Health, particularly the National Cancer Institute and the National Center on Minority Health and Health Disparities, to ensure equitable access to cutting-edge research and treatments for all.

Cancer continues to be a significant health concern for all Americans, accounting for a substantial proportion of new diagnoses annually. Awareness and early detection are critical in combating this pervasive disease and improving survival rates.

According to the American Cancer Society’s projections for 2024, the impact of cancer on women remains deeply concerning:

• An estimated hundreds of thousands of Americans will be diagnosed with invasive forms of cancer in 2024.

• Tens of thousands of additional cases of localized cancers are expected to be diagnosed, underscoring the need for early detection and intervention.

• Tragically, a significant number of Americans will lose their lives to cancer, making continued advocacy and funding essential.

It’s important to recognize that people of all ages can be affected by cancer, though the majority of diagnoses occur among middle-aged and older individuals. However, younger individuals are not immune, and we must ensure resources and support are available to all.

Together, we can make a difference by advocating for policies, funding, and awareness that prioritize public health and accelerate progress in the fight against cancer.

Cancer awareness initiatives, such as those observed during health awareness months, play a vital role in educating the public about risk factors, symptoms, screening recommendations, and available treatment options for women. These campaigns foster understanding and encourage preventive care, which is essential in the fight against cancer.

Political advocacy groups, like the American Cancer Coalition PAC, are instrumental in pushing for policies that support cancer research, prevention efforts, and access to quality care. By raising awareness and advocating for effective legislation, groups like ours ensure people’s health remains a priority on the national agenda.

As a Political Action Committee (PAC), the American Cancer Coalition PAC is committed to supporting policies and candidates who align with our mission to address cancer and improve people’s health outcomes. Unlike charitable organizations, PACs engage directly in political activities to influence legislation and shape public policy.

Contributions to our PAC empower us to amplify the voices of people affected by cancer, advocate for increased funding and resources, and work toward meaningful, lasting changes in public health policy. Together, we can make a significant impact on people’s health nationwide.

We know that Americans care deeply about each other, and your support demonstrates that you are one of those compassionate individuals who make a difference.

We deeply appreciate your support and engagement in our mission to combat cancer and improve the lives of those affected by this devastating disease. Together, we can make a meaningful difference in the fight for better health outcomes for women everywhere.
